Undeclared Sesame and Wheat in King Kullen Broccoli Cutlets


Gracie’s Kitchens of New Haven, CT, has issued a recall for its 20-ounce packages of “King Kullen Broccoli Cutlets with Bread Crumbs and Parmesan,” due to the presence of undeclared sesame and wheat, posing a threat to individuals with allergies to these ingredients. The product could cause a life-threatening allergic reaction if consumed by those with allergies to sesame or wheat.

The affected product has been distributed exclusively to King Kullen Grocery Stores across Long Island, NY. Stores in Manhasset, Center Moriches, Bay Shore, Bridgehampton, Shirley, Garden City Park, Eastport, and St James. Consumers who have purchased the broccoli cutlets are encouraged to return them to any of these locations for a full refund.

The recalled “Broccoli Cutlets” are packaged in a 20-ounce, oven-safe tin with a clear dome top, marked with a UPC Code of “0 8531610145 0.” The packaging also features “Sell by” dates ranging from April 14, 2024 to April 21, 2024. There have been no reported illnesses associated with this recall to date.

The recall was initiated after discovering that the packaging failed to list sesame and wheat in the ingredient breakdown. Consumers with questions or concerns can contact Gracie’s Kitchens at 203-773-0795 between Monday and Friday, 9 am to 3 pm EST, or via email at info@gracieskitchen.com.
